At age 12 I told my parents I was going to be a pharmacist. With a BPharm degree from the University of London ("The Square") and an Msc in Microbiology from Birkbeck College, University of London, I kept to my word. However, my career course evolved, from initially wanting to work in a hospital pharmacy, through the dream of owning my own boutique pharmacy, to eventually deciding to enter the pharma industry.

I have worked in industry for most of my career, initially in Research and Development at Smith and Nephew in England and then in Quality Assurance/Compliance for seven years at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries. After leaving Teva, I set up PCI Pharmaceutical Consulting Israel Ltd. which has been providing services to the pharmaceutical industry for the past 25 years.

I regularly lecture around the world on GMP, PQS and compliance related topics. My preferred consulting model is to engage the executive suite in changing corporate culture.

PCI has a proven track record. To date, the companies Karen has worked with had successful regulatory inspections, product approvals, and resolution of issues.

Our approach is low-key, resource considerate and practical. Breaking down big issues into small pieces, we identify the weak spots and help companies design solutions appropriate to their culture, size and method of doing business.

We do not believe in 'one-size-fits-all'. On the rare occasions where our philosophy does not match that of the client, we wish them the best and part as friends. Our beliefs and values must match those of our clients.

We are detail driven and won't cut corners. We do our best to stay up to date, keeping current in GxPs, guidances and regulatory expectations.
